How the West Was Won- Domino's Pizza Internet Ordering System

Hello! I'm back from my day off... You probably wonder what that means to have a day off of an already extended vacation. Well, travel is exhausting work and I had some college essays to write, so I spent all day yesterday in my hotel room writing stuff and trying to figure out what the heck I'm going to do with my life. I applied for a job, for summer classes at a really good school, and wrote half of my essays for Boston University before I decided that I wasn't going to apply there.

I was going to head out and see the town because I figured I needed to eat, but I just wasn't feeling social... like seeing a bunch of people I didn't know and chatting them up. I wondered if there were any pizza delivery services. I found a Papa Johns for pick up only, and then Dominos came up for delivery.

I went on Dominos.com to look at the menu and discovered I could order online. I did it once before in Monroe, NY, and it wasn't such a great experience. It's a pretty neat system that allows you to see where your pizza is in the process, when it's being baked, and out for delivery. Unfortunately, the Monroe Dominos cheats, so it said my pizza was delivered to my house about 30 minutes before it actually was. This Dominos was right on it. I had my Medium thin-crust ham and pineapple pizza to the door of my hotel room in no time. You should try the online ordering sometime. It's pretty neat. Just not if you live in the Monroe, NY area.

That was my day yesterday- highly uneventful, but welcome. This morning after I finish blogging and pack, I'm heading to Mt. Rushmore, and if there's time, Deadwood before I make the drive to Billings, MT. I tried so hard to find a cute, independently-owned hotel in Billings, and when I finally succeeded, it was a non-negotiable $105+tax per night. Sadly, out of my budget. I ended up pricelining a chain hotel (with an indoor water park- whoopie) for 45 dollars including taxes and fees (I put in 35 dollars and my price was accepted, but taxes and fees got me). The Hotel Carlin was where I wanted to stay and here's a tip, if anyone goes to Billings on business, the weekly rates are fantastic... $300-something. But I can't stay for a week just because it makes a cool hotel cost-friendly.

Now, enough blogging about nothing specific. I need to catch up on my Badlands post. I think I'm going to end this one as is and post another immediately after. There will be some cool photos and stuff. Check it out.
